[Intrepid] Screen corruption with desktop effects enabled on NVIDIA 7600GS

Binary package hint: compiz

Just upgraded to Intrepid, found that the titlebars of windows are often corrupted with desktop effects turned on.

$ apt-cache policy compiz

I'm using the "recommended" NVIDIA version 177 driver with a NVIDIA 7600GS.

FYI, this is a regression since Hardy. I didn't have display corruption before upgrading to intrepid.
