Buttons disappear when compiz is active

Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

I'm using Ooo 2.4.1 on Intrepid. When compiz is active, buttons seem to disappear from the toolbars.

From the text, I was going to say it wasnt, but the screenshot show it it.
It is exactly the same symptoms.

I'm not entirely sure it is a dupe. The other bug seems to be fixed when using nvidia-glx-173 instead of 177. All other symptoms disappear except for this one.

My experience of bug 269904 is that the window is partially rendered, and by clicking in the window or alt-tab'ing will trigger a re-render of the window and the window content is then shown correctly and icons etc will not disappear in this correctly rendered window. If i move the mouse in the partially rendered window, icons etc will show up underneath the cursor.
David: Is this the case for you as well? In that case, it might be a dupe.
