Bug Description
Binary package hint: compiz
1) The release of Ubuntu you are using, via 'lsb_release -rd' or System -> About Ubuntu.
Description: Ubuntu intrepid (development branch)
Release: 8.10
2) The version of the package you are using, via 'apt-cache policy packagename' or by checking in Synaptic.
1:0.7.7+
3) What you expected to happen
Whit compiz disabled I set the number of desktops to 4 using the desktop-
I also expect to be able to change the number of desktops with the applet when compiz is enabled
4) What happened instead
Compiz uses 2 Desktops when it is started, the preferences of the applet stil show 4 workspaces.
Changing the number of workspaces with the applet does nothing
I confirm this bug.
With the additional comment that: Changing the number of workspaces with the applet does change the number of the workspaces, which becomes apparent after switching back to metacity.
