Bug Description
As long as the Compiz window manager is active the shift key does not work the way it should.
Disabling compiz and selecting Metacity also makes the shift key work again.
Could be that i am posting a duplicate bugreport but i was unable to find the one i found a couple of weeks ago.
I am fairly new to linux and therefor i dont know how to produce handy terminal output,
if anyone could explain to me how to produce usefull information i would be happy to do so.
I am currently running the following:
compiz 0.7.4
Ubuntu 8.04 (Hardy)
Kernel: 2.6.24-19-generic i686 GNU/Linux
Renderer: GeForce Go 7300/PCI/SSE2
Driver Version: 2.1.2 NVIDIA 169.12
And really usefull... and i think this should point in the direction of a solution.
I found a workaround when searching google for this problem some time ago.
If i press CTLR followed by the shift key and keep the shift key down i can use it the normal way.
