Bug Description

Binary package hint: firefox-3.0

I FREQUENTLY experience a bug where firefox maximizes so huge that the titlebar goes underneath the top panel, I understand that this is not the default behavior of any program in ubuntu yet firefox is determined to defy ubuntu's settings of this. This behaviour has happened in all versions of Firefox in Hardy that I have seen. I have no idea if this bug has been reported before or not (I tried looking but couldnt find it.) If someone could PLEASE fix this bug as it is becoming VERY bothersome to myself I would be greatly appreciative. I have re-installed ubuntu, I have removed the .firefox directory in home, ive done every thing I can possibly think of, so its something within firefox itself. ANY help in solving this LONG lived issue would be GREAT. THANKS!

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Do you have compiz desktop effects enabled? If so, it would be helpful if you can try testing this issue with metacity (compiz disabled). Do you experience this issue with any other application? Thanks in advance.

I have tried with both compiz enabled and disabled, Enabled seems to
cause it, disabled doesnt. I might have to close this bug b/c a update
today seems to have fixed this issue. If this bug happens again ill send
in another report. Thanks Hewus.

A recent update to firefox seems to have fixed the issue at hand, though it happened with and without compiz enabled. I dont experience it with any other applications, just firefox.

Thanks for your comment Zoran. Which Ubuntu release are you using? Do you only experience the issue when using Compiz? Please attach a screenshot of your issue. Thanks in advance.
