Thanks, of course I have no idea what the Gnome fail safe mode is. I have been disatisfied with Windows for many years now, it is often buggy and just really top heavy. I am really impressed with how Linux keeps improving. For instance, Ubuntu 8.04 Beta is much better at reading my NTFS files, which is critical for any transition. The biggest draw back at this point is that more and more offices are going to Microsoft Exchange which really locks one in.
