Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Hello, I have upgraded to Ubuntu Hardy 8.10, and using the ccsm configuration tool enabled the plugin "shelf".

When scaling a window down and enabling the cube, ie moving it, the "thumbnail" becomes black and the border is shown. This becomes worse if 3d Windows is enabled. I am using an ATI Radeon 7200 card. Attached are the outputs of lspci -v and my xorg.conf file.

Hi Oleg
do you still experience this with the latest update in Hardy Heron?, could you please include a screenshot demonstrating this issue.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, I have installed all updates, compiz is 1:0.7.2-0ubuntu2. Here is a screenshot of how the shelf plugin looks regulary.

And here it is with the cube, notice the black frame and window. I have 3d windows plugin on, but the same thing happens even without it. Perhaps it's because of my Ati Radeon 7200 card? Check xorg.conf for more.

Thanks!

We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

I can give info on this bug: it's still there.

My graphics card is an Intel X4500HD (reported by lspci as an "Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07)").

I'm using the X-Updates PPA. Attached is a screenshot.

My xorg.conf.

Confirmed, when activating shelf and cube and making a window small with shelf doing a free rotate with cube makes the entire screen go crazy. Making the window full size again fixes the problem.
