Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Running freshly installed Hardy x86_64 on HP nw9440 laptop with nVidia graphic card (nvidia-glx-new) .

On returning from suspend-to-RAM the system is fully working, except for the X session, which is unusable until compiz.real process is killed. When switched to the tty7 the only thing that is displayed is the mouse pointer on the white background.

I think you are right, it is the same bug. It seems to happen if a window pops up while the display with X on it is not selected. The window popping up in this case is the password box on resume from suspend. On my machine, I can get the white screen by locking the screen and then quickly (before the password box pops up) switching to another vt (ctrl+F1), and then switching back (ctrl+F7).
