Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

In Ubuntu 8.04 Beta. with Logitech Mx700

Forward/backward button worked out of the box; the "up" and "down" button (for scrolling) work in Firefox without problem.

However with the desktop effect and more exactly switching desktop I have a strange issue:

I can switch desktop using the mouse wheel without a problem. Using the "up" and "down" scroll button however is a problem. The "down" button works as expected however the "up" button as no effect at all.

Hi there
do you still experience this issue with the latest updates in Hardy Heron?

Thanks in advance
