Bug Description
Binary package hint: compiz
I am trying to enable automatic login since the last gdm upgrade in Hardy 2.20.4-0ubuntu1 using "assistive technology" and "acessible login".
Couldn't find another way to do this after gdm replaced my old configuration file. A GTK window open and instantly close with xorg crashing and going back to gdm login. After logged a black screen show-up with a frozen mouse cursor stopped in the middle of display. The only way to get in control of Hardy is pressing ctrl+alt+backspace and again gdm login screen but this time touchpad is disabled. An apport warning message appeared in the next.
I could attach an external mouse and type this message with the keyboard still working.
Spec are MacBook2,1 Duo Core 2,16 Ghz i945GM using Synaptic Touchpad.
