Why do they need to be blacklisted in the first place?  isn't compiz turned off by default? If people turn it on, and run into problems, they can just turn it back off.  Why is it that difficult? If there are problems with the liveCD, make an option to boot it with compiz turned off.  It ain't that hard.  I remember when i needed special kernel parameters to get it to recognize my hardware, but I figured it out.  It's this thing called google.
