Bug Description

If you use the Compiz 'grid' plugin to position a window, then change the viewport of that window with the Compiz 'put' plugin, the window moves briefly to the new viewport but then immediately bounces back to the old viewport.

A workaround is to restore the window before putting it to the next viewport.

The Compiz grid plugin has functionality to avoid this behavior when a windows's viewport is changed with the Compiz 'expo' plugin, but not the 'put' plugin.

The attached patch to 'put' for compiz-0.9.13.1+18.04.20180302 retrieved via 'apt source compiz-plugins-default' on Ubuntu 18.04 fixes this behavior.

The attachment "Fix for put.cpp that tells grid it is moving window to another viewport" seems to be a patch. If it isn't, please remove the "patch" flag from the attachment, remove the "patch" tag, and if you are a member of the ~ubuntu-reviewers, unsubscribe the team.
