Bug Description

If I use the Windows (Super Key?) compiz crashes and restarts, it's the same if I try something from the status bar or start something from the menu on the left hand side. I can right click on the desktop to start terminal which I can use to start firefox or apport..., but I can't switch between windows because compiz crashes again, and windows don't really work properly. Firefox won't accept any input. dmesg does give information, but I have to remember what it says. I can't go back to the terminal, get the information and paste it here. There is a seg fault and it gives Error 4.
The problem started today, and a re-boot or two hasn't fixed it.

I'm also observing a similar (or the same?) problem on a Panasonic Toughbook. This only started to fail today. Apport crash tool registers the problem and tries to submit over the Internet. Could this be related to apport 2.20.1-0ubuntu2.15 as I believe this was released yesterday and I applied fixes/patches (apt update && apt full-upgrade) between last night and this morning?

Thanks.
