Bug Description
1) UBUNTU RELEASE
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 16.04.3 LTS
Release: 16.04
Codename: xenial
2) VERSION OF (POTENTIALLY) OFFENDING PACKAGE(S)
compiz:
Installed: 1:0.9.12.
unity:
Installed: 7.4.0+16.
3) EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
Having the unity launcher behavior set on auto-hide:
- I right-click anywhere on the desktop OR in an application OR simply left-click on one of the top panel indicators so that a contextual menu appears ANYWHERE ON THE SCREEN BUT IN THE LAUNCHER.
- I expect that when I push my mouse to the side of my screen, the launcher appears and stays there as long as my mouse is hovering over it.
4) ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
Given the above circumstances, the launcher appears but immediately auto-hides even though my mouse cursor is still hovering over it. This only happens when a contextual menu is open, except if that contextual menu is a launcher quicklist.
NOTE: this unexpected behavior happens independently of the position of the launcher (left or bottom).
