Bug Description
I am using Ubuntu MATE 17.04 64-bit with Compiz enabled.
On some days the software updater appears in the window list. When i click on it the window is not shown on desktop, rather the window removes from window list. I have to click on "Show desktop" to get this window back.
With Marco as WM this problem does not exist.
By the way: i noticed this problem also on Ubuntu MATE 16.10.
Compiz version: 0.9.13.1

Also happening for me, Ubuntu MATE 17.04, MATE 1.18.0, Compiz 0.9.13.1.
I had removed my Show Desktop button from my panel since I never used it, so I didn't know that workaround. I would kill the update-notifier process and relaunch it, and then it would show and function normally.
