When trying to switch to dual screen mode, compiz start to use 100% cpu and screen go to black. The mouse cursor is still visible and the screen are in the correct xrandr config. When I do xrandr config using the xrandr commands, the scaling becomes incorrect, although the unity bar is in the correct scaling. A method to go around this bug is to login with the second screen unplugged. Go to the screen setting config. Plugin the second monitor, which will be in off mode. Then click detect displays and enable second screen in mirror mode. Apply and keep this settings and the next step click detect displays and then disable mirror mode and select the dual screen config and apply it.

For extra info (the internal screen is connected to the intel card wheras the HDMI port is connected to the nvidia card)
