OpenOffice menu bar behavior eractic when Compiz enabled

Bug Description

My OpenOffice's menu bar is behaving in a unusual fashion when compiz is enabled. When ever I click on menu item like "File" or "Edit" .... The drop-down menu list item is appearing for a very short period and is disappearing.

I am also experiencing Bug #89741. Is it related. I don't have nvidia or G-force graphics accelerator cards. Using Kubuntu Fiesty, on Intel Core 2 DUO with 2GB RAM

Hi A.K.,

You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any recent activity. I am unable to reproduce this bug running Hardy Alpha compiz 1:0.7.0-0ubuntu1 and openoffice 1:2.3.1-3ubuntu3 . Just curious if this is still an issue for you with the latest compiz and open office release? Let us know your results. Thanks!

Unfortunately I have uninstalled Kubuntu and installed Ubuntu. Let me wait for 8.04 release and find out weather this bug prevails. Till that time let this bug not be closed.
