Bug Description
Binary package hint: compiz
Using Gutsy as updated from 19/10/2007. When firefox is maximized, changing tabs results in the window being resized down. I'm with a resolution of 1680x1050, and the size of the firefox window resizes to the size it would have if the resolution was 1280x800 (or something like that). Pressing on the restore/unmaximize button and maximize again puts firefox back on it's original size. But every time I switch tabs, it falls back to the smaller size.
This problem doesn't happen if firefox is not maximized, even if I resize it to occupy most of the screen.
Switching off compiz fixes the problem. I tried to disable a variety of compiz settings, but never managed to eliminate the bug.
I'm using the new 'intel' driver for xorg, in a LG LW20 laptop with Intel Mobile 915GM. (If you're wondering about the resolution in a laptop, I'm using an external monitor.)
