the bottom gnome-menu disappears after reboot

Bug Description

Each time after rebooting the bottom gnome-menu disappears. But after session restarting, say logout/login or just killing the x-session and then logging in. it gets appeared again.

I'm using gutsy tag in my apt-get list and compiz. The video card is i915GM on compaq nc6120
