OpenGL applications drawing problems

Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

When enabling compiz desktop effects on gutsy, OpenGL applications are unusable.
Windows behind other windows from other applications are shining through.
In Google Earth, when clicking on items in 3d view the newly opened windows are invisible
or flicker.
I am using an Intel chipset on a dell notebook with gutsy installed.
If there is interest I can provide more details.

This is a duplicate of https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/139471. What you are experiencing is the very same issue. The DRI-drivers don't have "redirected direct rendering/GLX" yet. This leads seen drawing-artefacts.
