Bug Description
Binary package hint: compiz
Buckle your seatbelt for the explanation:
I have an x60 tablet that runs compiz-fusion fine with gutsy on the local installation. I have a Gutsy edubuntu ltsp server that I want my x60-tablet to use. I have gotten ltsp to run fine and my client logs in and works great as far as I can tell.
I have told my x60 thin-client to take it's previous xorg.conf setup by making a file for xorg and telling my /var/lib/
When I log in it properly uses my xorg.conf from my verified compiz friendly xorg.conf. After typing compiz --replace to run compiz I receive this error:
grep: /var/log/
grep: /var/log/
grep: /var/log/

I am doing this to test my server for my office setup where I have 6 nicer computers with verified compiz-fusion friendly hardware that I would like to run compiz-fusion on via ltsp.
in #ltsp ogra and sbalneav are familiar with my scenario.
Thank you for the hard work.
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.
