Bug Description

I have a mouse with many buttons, so I use a bunch of them to switch between different viewports. However, they suddenly stopped working a few days ago. It looks like the mouse events are no longer captured by compiz but are just sent to the current window (tested with xev | grep button)

This problem also occurs for a brand new user, so it's not a problem with my compiz profile.

Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help resolve this, its really anoying!

I suspect this is a duplicate of #1304877 which was fixed in 1:0.9.11+14.04.20140409-0ubuntu1. If that's the case, updating to the latest packages should restore the functionality.

Please try that and let us know if it fixes your problem.
