Bug Description
In Gutsy, with a ATI mobility radeon X300 :
When Ubuntu opens, the splash screen appear, then disappear, then appear again and doesn't disappear at all. It stays on the middle of the Desktop.
This only happen when using compiz desktop effects with the Open Drivers for ATI ( the closed drivers for ATI don't work with composite anyway ).

I have 100% exactly the same problem, and i also have an ATI video card.
