window sometimes doesn't have focus after unminimize

Using Xubuntu 13.04 with XFCE4.10. Compiz version: 1:0.9.9~daily13.04.18.1~13.04-0ubuntu1.

Very often when I use any type of window switching and want to bring the minimized window to the front (and focus it), it is brought to the front does not have the focus. This is very annoying because I usually do not recognize that it does not have the focus so if I press ALT+F4 to close it, I close the previous window which is still focused.

Steps to reproduce:
Open a window. Click on the window button on the panel multiple times to minimize and unminimize the window. It takes one to three tries on my system to reproduce what I've just described.

I can get the same with any window switcher (I have tried with Static and Shift switchers).
