activating, then desactivating, the reactivating visual effects makes the multiple desktop to be reset to 1

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

If you activate Ubuntu 7.04 visual effects, then desactivate then reactivate them, you the get 1 virtual desktop (bottom right). If you click right on it and change for 2, when switching, the 3d desktop rotating doesn't work.
