Bug Description

When launching an application from the launcher (autohide mode) its window location will depend om whether the launcher itself is visible or not at the time of setup.

Test case:
1) configure launcher autohide mode
2) launch an application from the launcher
3) move its window (align it) to the screen's left side
4) close the window
5) launch the same application again from the launcher, and
6) keep the launcher visible during the application window setup

Result:
The application window is aligned to the launcher's top/righthand side, i.e where the window would have been setup using the never hide mode.

Expected result
The application window should be aligned to the screen's (icon workarea) top/lefthand side.

Downgrading unity/compiz to:
- unity 6.12.0-0ubuntu4
- compiz 1:0.9.8.4+bzr3412-0ubuntu1
makes the window positioning work properly again.

Thus,, this issue has been introduced in newer version of unity and/or compiz.

Current versions causing this issue are:
- unity 6.12.0daily12.12.05-0ubuntu1
- compiz 1:0.9.9~daily12.12.05-0ubuntu2

The regression-proposed tag is for packages specifically from the -proposed repository of a release of Ubuntu, so I've changed the tag to regression-release.

Changing affected package from unity to compiz.

- compiz (1:0.9.9~daily12.12.05-0ubuntu2) has this bug
- compiz (1:0.9.9~daily12.12.05-0ubuntu1) has this bug
- compiz (1:0.9.8.4+bzr3412-0ubuntu1) works as expected

Probably a side effect to avoid windows behind the launcher at setup.
The modes never and autohide must be considered.

affects: unity (Ubuntu) → compiz (Ubuntu)
