compiz corner bindings sometimes work sometimes do not

I configured compiz for expo and scale ("skalieren"). Sometimes it works sometimes not. When booting the machine it randomly works. When going to suspend sometimes it stops working. Sometimes only expo works, sometimes both do not. When switching it off-and-on it always works.

How can I investigate the problem to get further information?

Sorry - missing information: I configured compiz hot corners for expo and scale. KeyBindings are working reliable.
