Bug Description

The Compiz Expo plugin works fine after a fresh system or xserver start. Over the course of time if you don't reboot the plugin can still eb engaged with <super> e or an edge trigger and it will zoom and show all viewports. Over time you are unable to correctly select a viewport. You can mouse-over one and try right clicking the appropriate viewport and it will return you to the one that you had been using. Short of restarting the system or xserver there seems to be no other way to fix this problem currently. Not really sure what to do at this point. It works properly like "spaces" from Mac-OsX but loses the ability to let you select the appropriate viewport over time... Thanks for the help.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering is this still an issue for you? Can you try with latest Ubuntu release? Thanks in advance.

If it is still a problem, could you also add your ~/.xsession-errors, /var/log/Xorg.0.log and the output of lspci -vvnn to your bug report as separate attachments? Thanks in advance.

Perhaps this is the missing information. I face the exact same bug; expo was working fine until I updated to another kernel (I believe 2.6.24-18 or -19.

Here's what I get when I run ccsm from the command line:

GConf backend: There is an unsupported value at path /apps/compiz/plugins/scale/allscreens/options/initiate_edge. Settings from this path won't be read. Try to remove that value so that operation can continue properly.

...but when I go to look at that particular file, it doesn't appear to exist.
