High CPU usage when using any addon which desaturates windows

Bug Description
When using any addon that desaturates windows in Compiz, it takes about 80% CPU usage, causing the fans on my laptop to run constantly whenever this is enabled.
I will attach screenshots below.
Steps to Reproduce:
Enable Dim Inactive in ccsm
Open two windows, monitor cpu usage
Use keyboard shortcut to toggle dimming on and off
Compiz-Plugins version 1:0.9.8.6-0ubuntu1 from synaptic
Graphics Card:
Dual Graphics (AMD Radeon)

Ok, a workaround seems to be setting the saturation to 100%, it seems any addon that modifies the saturation causes the CPU to spike.
