Ubuntu 24.04 is missing "maildrop"

After upgrading from 20.04 to 24.04, "maildrop" program disappeared without any notice.

The system still suggests it's available. but it's not:

$ maildrop
Command 'maildrop' not found, but can be installed with:
sudo apt install maildrop
$ sudo apt install maildrop

According to https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/maildrop/+publishinghistory maildrop was removed from the noble release on 2024-04-14 as it 'failed to build from source'.

May be a 'command-not-found' bug?

The metadata for the noble release was outdated when the archive was closed and as such not all command-not-found packages are accurate. We are already tracking this in bug 2078596 for a different package, so I went ahead and marked this bug as a duplicate.
