cmake creates bad archive when building packages

Bug Description
When creating a package with cmake/libarchive, the created Debian package is corrupted:
Unpacking hpccsystems-
dpkg: error processing hpccsystems-
corrupted filesystem tarfile - corrupted package archive
dpkg-deb: error: subprocess paste was killed by signal (Broken pipe)

I've downloaded cmake-2.8.8's sources, compiled and it works fine.
This bug in not in Ubuntu per se, but would be good if cmake was upgraded sooner than usual.
