Bug Description

See http://people.canonical.com/~ubuntu-archive/component-mismatches.svg . libqtdbustest (in main) has grown a build dependency on cmake-extras in universe, and as the train *again* seems to not enforce components this renders libqtdbustest FTBFS in wily.

cmake-extras is an Ubuntu-native, train-maintained package with just a dozen common cmake snippets. This is exclusively build-time, no runtime binary packages, nothing compiled, etc.

https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/cmake-extras/+bugs just has two bugs for improvements, nothing serious.

Uses standard packaging.

The main thing that this is missing is a bug subscriber. I propose https://launchpad.net/~unity-api-team as that's the subscriber for libqtdbustest already. @Ted, someone else from that team, please add a team bug subscription.

I've added the bug subscriber

the package looks ok, just adding some build support files.

How well is the package maintained upstream? There are four open bug reports without any feedback. See https://bugs.launchpad.net/cmake-extras.

LP: #1476488 looks like a regression in build time compared to the approach given in the issue.

I guess I'm becoming maintainer of this thing realistically, so I've gone and fixed a bunch of the outstanding bugs.

(note that the binary packages for the fixes now only live in the vivid/wily overlay PPA)

Matthias' issues in comments #2 seem to be addressed now, team is subscribed, Pete maintains it, and I see no other outstanding issues, so I promoted this now.

Changed in cmake-extras (Ubuntu):
status: New → Fix Released
