Cloudprint asking for firmware updates

cloudprint (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

I have checked at and and cant find any mention of this. I have setup cloudprint on my Ubuntu 14.04 PC and Google sees the printers as does my Windows 7 PC. However, when I try to print, it tells me that it can' as the printer needs a firmware update:

It is an Epson stylus printer and the support pages for Google talk about giving the ip address of the printer, obtained from the printer control panel. The printer a stylus SX105, does not have a control panel. Cups, as I understand it, uses the loopback address, so this is no use.

Epson's site has nothing about firmware updates for this printer, hence, I can't print using cloudprint.

There is a workaround mentioned upstream. Remove 'epson' from the printer name.
