Update manager shows multiple copies of same app, different version

Bug Description

Updated my phone over the weekend, it showed a bunch of updates (yay).
Looks like one of the apps (Saucy Bacon) was updated twice (1.0.13 & 1.0.14) since the last time I updated, and shows twice in the list.
I would expect it to only show the latest version.
See screenshot.

It also got into a loop.

Updated calculator & weather, it shows the same apps (sometimes multiple times) again after re-starting the app. Seems a bit confused.

Seems to be showing entirely spurious updates too now I look further.

phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ click list | grep weather
com.ubuntu.weather 1.0.198
phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ click list | grep calculator
com.ubuntu.calculator 0.1.3.209

Those are what I have installed, but click-update-manager wants to get calculator version 0.1.3.218.209 and weather 1.1.197.3 which (by my maths) are both older than what I already have installed.
