Bug Description

I'm trying to use $SNAPP_APP_USER_DATA_PATH which is setting it's path to SNAPP_APP_USER_DATA_PATH="$HOME//apps/uhome/1.2".

I need to read/write some data within my app to that directory, however, it doesn't exist.

In my code, I'm trying to mkdir -p that directory however:

ubuntu@localhost:~$ uhome.uhome
mkdir: cannot create directory ‘/home/ubuntu//apps’: Permission denied

Looks like ~/apps is not created at all by snappy itself.
