clementine crashes unity

clementine was working after the installation. then i setup my folders etc.
now clementine crashes immediatly after launch (i can hear it accessing the harddrive with the music files) and the whole desktop crashes and i'm presented with the login screen.

  Start Clemetine. Could be related to the nvidia driver. ie spotify produces the same X11 crash.

  Clementine running

  X11 crashing and return to Unity login
