Cannot update virus signatures in Clam Virus Scanner

Bug Description

1. #freshclam says db is up to date.
2. #clamscan says db is old--update!
3. GUI ClamTk says db signatures is 31 days old.
4. update signature db says must be root.
5. root #freshclam and then back to step 1.
Where are valid instructions to get ClamAV to run properly.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You should have gotten a new clamav update (it was released 3/31) that corrected a problem with the freshclam init file. That should take care of this problem.
