Hi,
thank you for your report and your help to make Ubuntu better.
The logs not really point to anything obvious.
If anything then a few debconf messages and some about simulating apt transactions (from software center).
I just tried to install on a similar environment and it worked as expected.
I'm not sure if there might be an issue with the software center hiding/consuming messages that don't show up in this report then.
Could you try to install it via console by running "apt install clamtk" and let me know if the terminal output adds any more context to the issue that helps to understand it?
