Do a fresh install of Classic Ubuntu and test on Debian. Are you experiencing the same issue?

Do I still experience the bug I hit 4 years ago? I honestly can't remember which computer it was.

Given the grave annoyance (according to description), I suppose, I don't get it. But I'm not sure. It was Ubuntu A, and now I'm on Ubuntu F...
