Bug Description
Using cinnamon in 2d mode (without gpu acceleration) in ubuntu 12.04, I encountered a slightly worse battery experience in respect to gnome3-fallback mode.
I think this is due to cinnamon using about 10% cpu all the time (reported by top, powertop etc.) of an i5 dual core processor.
