CIFS mount freezes after coming from suspend

Bug Description

I mounted the cifs share on my laptop by first creating
mkdir /media/smb-name

then inserting mounting procedure into /etc/fstab
//192.168.0.1/smb-name /media/smb-name cifs credentials=/root/.smbcredentials,iocharset=utf8,file_mode=0777,dir_mode=0777 0 0

And Adding the credentials in /root/.smbcredentials:
username=myusername
password=mypassword

And mounting the cifs share
mount -a

After suspending the laptop (for at least 10 minutes! - not sure what is the exact amount of time needed) and waking it up, it "freezes" waiting for the share. For example executing this command in terminal:
ls -lah /media/smb-name

It's really annoying as you can't access cifs share or do anything in that terminal window for some time. Then if you're lucky cifs share gets mounted and starts working again after 1,5 minutes or more (or never).

Some details about my computer
OS: Ubuntu 15.04 desktop amd64
SMB share OS: Windows 7 (but same results with Ubuntu Samba share)
cifs-utils: Installed: 2:6.0-1ubuntu2

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1447632/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

Tried VMWare (virtual) images of
Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Alpha2 (64 bit) and
CentOS 7.1-1503 (64bit).

When pausing the machines (both) and resuming them the bug couldn't be reproduced (both cifs shares worked in about 12-15 seconds).

When suspending CentOS the bug couldn't be reproduced (it works great - cifs is available in seconds). Unfortunately I can't test Ubuntu because suspend doesn't seem to work in VMWare.
