Bug Description

Tried to load a java applet, and crashed. https://ibank.cib.hu/Applet2.html this applet.

It's a netbank.

I have openjdk-6-jdk and icedtea-6-plugin installed. And crashes.

With firefox it works.

Same here.

I think I've found the same issue reported in the upstream bugtracker: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=125815
I wonder if it's appropriate and possible to add that report as an upstream here...

AOL. No java-applets seem to work in chromium anymore. Have to use firefox for java. My wife is confused => I invoke bug #1. Workaround: back to firefox. Yikes.

This happens again to me with Ubuntu 12.04 and Chrome 30, see #1250550.

This bug report won't expire due the bug watch which was closed in 2014 with NPAPI support being dropped in Chromium 35.

This bug report is no longer valid in 2022 as Chromium has now reached version 107.
