Bug Description
PROBLEM
The version of Chromium included in the Oneiric Beta hangs for several seconds each time I close or open a tab. The problem is exacerbated by having multiple tabs open already, but is far worse than it was under Natty.
HOW TO REPRODUCE
1. Open and close tabs in Chromium.
2. If step 1 does not reproduce the bug, open a half-dozen tabs first. More or fewer may be required depending on your system's specifications.
3. Compare performance seen in step 1 and step 2 to your experience using Chromium under Natty.
EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
I will not encounter significant performance regressions in essential apps upon upgrading to the new version.
