Bug Description

Binary package hint: chromium-browser

On a fresh install,
1. Install Chromium
2. Click "Make Chromium My Default Browser" in preferences
3. Open a link from gnome-terminal (right-click, Open Link)

The link gets opened in Firefox. And, Firefox even asks me if I want to make it my default browser!

To fix this, I have to go into Preferred Applications, and change Firefox to Chromium. Then links open as expected.

you didn't say which ubuntu version you are using, nor which version of chromium.

Thanks Fabien. That looks pretty similar. Marked as a duplicate.
