Bug Description

Binary package hint: chromium-browser

After installing the latest security updates for chromium-browser via update-manager, I noticed that Chromium started crashing after a short period of time. That is, the entire browser crashed rather than a single page, and happened even if I left the browser open and didn't interact with it.

I tried sending a full apport crash dump, but after waiting ages for it to upload I got an error dialog saying there was a "502 Gateway" response. I guess the crash report code doesn't expect such large uploads (235MB in this case). I installed the chromium-browser-dbg package before uploading this report, so hopefully there is some useful information in the report.

I've upgraded to the 9.0.597.94~r73967-0ubuntu0.10.10.1 release now, and have not yet been able to reproduce the crash.

I searched for a similar bug in the upstream BTS last week, found nothing related.
If you can reproduce it with the last version, we'll push it upstream.
