Bug Description

Binary package hint: chromium-browser

mind@misc:~$ chromium-browser
Attempting to load the system libmoon
Segmentation fault

More than happy to troubleshoot further... I have installed the debug packaged to assist in this. A little direction on where to head for results you need will speed this along.

I did change the permissions from 700 to 755 on ~/.config/chromium after it didn't work to make sure it wasn't a simple file permissions issue on the directory. An error in the report mentioned being unable to open the default profile so I figured it wouldn't hurt. Anyhow... that did not fix the problem. I also deleted the default profile to force it to create a new profile. This also did not fix the issue. This is a new install of 10.10... almost immediately upgraded to 11.04.

Chromium has never started up on this machine.

Thank you,
james

go to your home folder

press cntl + h

then your home folder will display hidden files

check whether .config and .cache files are locked

right click on the folder then click "properties". In that Click "permissions".

In owner, change folder access to "create and delete files."

And then click "Apply Permissions to Enclosed files"

If chromium doesn't work then change permissions other locked files as above

Natty have reached EOL since a while and that issue is not reproducible with recent version(s)
