Bug Description

Trying to use chrome web driver instead of firefox driver in selenium gives following error. How to use chromium with selenium now when it is packaged in Snap?

Error message:
selenium.common.exceptions.WebDriverException: Message: unknown error: Chrome failed to start: exited abnormally.
  (unknown error: DevToolsActivePort file doesn't exist)
  (The process started from chrome location /snap/chromium/current/command-chromium.wrapper is no longer running, so ChromeDriver is assuming that Chrome has crashed.)

Thanks for the report Sami.

Can you share your selenium script (or at least the part that initializes chromedriver and launches chromium)?

For reference, this is a very simple python script that works with the snap: https://git.launchpad.net/~chromium-team/chromium-browser/+git/snap-from-source/tree/tests/chromium-version?h=stable.

I did just use:
driver = webdriver.Chrome()

However, I just tried the same code again and could not reproduce the crash. Now, it seems to work.
