Bug Description
EDIT: upstream report at https:/
ps shows chromium-browser processes are running, but no windows appear.
I've been able to correlate the message "[...:ERROR:
Users are frustrated when it happens to them, and advice online is to delete your profile and reboot, which is suboptimal, because it removes all bookmarks, history, settings, etc. I have one user that gets this error almost daily, even after workstation swap, so I'm guessing there's a behavioral component as well.
I have confirmed that killing all chromium-browser processes and rolling back just $HOME/.

I think the behavioral component may be to log the browser in to google.
People who ignore that and don't confuse logging browser in and logging into gmail seem to hit this less.
