Bug Description

Text is being rendered too high. This causes it to render inside padding, or worse yet inside the border of an input box (causing it to be cut off).

Issue also occurs on Chrome (Version 67.0.3396.87 (Official Build) (64-bit)).
Issue began occurring after upgrade to 18.04 from 17.10.

Thanks for the report John.
I can see what you mean from the screenshot, but it would help if you could point me to the actual web page you're seeing this on, so that I can reproduce the issue myself.

Is this still affecting the latest stable version of chromium (68.0.3440.75-0ubuntu0.18.04.1 on ubuntu 18.04)?

The web page I first observed the issue on is part of our in-house manufacturing/sales. Not publicly accessible or shareable.

Yes, it's still an issue in the latest versions of Chrome and Chromium.

Chrome: Version 68.0.3440.75 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Chromium: Version 68.0.3440.75 (Official Build) Built on Ubuntu , running on Ubuntu 18.04 (64-bit)
