I installed Chromium and Chrome on the same day within a few hours of each other.
Chromium is Version 48.0.2564.116 Ubuntu 16.04 (64-bit)
Chrome is Version 49.0.2623.75 (64-bit)
Please update as appropriate.

Thanks for taking your time to report this issue and help making Ubuntu better.
Since the time of reporting, Chromium has been upgraded to 53.0.2785. 143-0ubuntu0. 16.04.1. 1254 (on Ubuntu 16.04), which is in sync with Google Chrome. I therefore believe this issue can be marked fixed.
Note that there might be a slight delay between the time a new version is released upstream and when it become available as an update in Ubuntu, presumably due to packaging, building, testing et al.
